Sad incident in Indianapolis GP, which killed Peter Lenz has not disappeared from memory. Now, the MotoGP event back casualties.
Is a Japanese racer Moto2, Shoya Tomizawa, who died after suffering an accident on a straight track, 12 laps into the San Marino GP, Sunday (09/05/2010).
Tomizawa, winning the opening race in Qatar, last April, died because he got injured after being hit by Alex de Angelis (Italy) and Scott Redding (England), after he collapsed on the track.
Drivers 19 years of suffering severe injuries in the accident and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Riccione, as quoted by Motorcyclenews.
Unfortunately, like Lenz, Tomizawa lives beyond help. MotoGP officials confirm at approximately 14:20 local time, Tomizawa declared dead.
Meanwhile, Redding, who grabbed his first podium in the event Moto2 months ago, reportedly was not seriously injured. He was in a conscious condition when the center received medical treatment in the center.
Meanwhile, the host driver, de Angelis, was not injured from the tragic events.
